Leechbug

Brought to life in a world long-abandoned by its inhabitants, a single parasite fights to survive and journey through the forgotten home of its creators. While the only of its kind, the Leechbug is far from alone, driven by the impulse to kill and possess other creatures as it strives to reach the surface. As players strategize ways to advance their swarm through this survival roguelike, the haunting yet marvelous 3D environment imparts the story of the advanced yet arrogant civilization that created the Leechbug.
Brought onto the project during its alpha phase, art direction was defined and stylization guides were created in order to meet the game’s narrative and experience goals about surviving in an uneasy yet wondrous underwater post-apocalypse. Art feedback and further pipeline documentation is provided to other teammates on a weekly basis in order to ensure all assets meet the art direction. Concept and production art was also created for the game.
